vivo’s upcoming foldable flagship will be called X Fold, according to multiple rumors. Today the reliable leakster Digital Chat Station posted schematics of the upcoming foldable, revealing a perforated camera on the cover screen and a quad-cam setup with a periscope lens on the back.

He also revealed that the phone’s hardware would be “absolutely top-notch”, meaning we can expect a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, OLED displays on both sides, and a main camera with gimbal stabilization.

The vivo X Fold will take the form factor of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, Oppo Find N and the Huawei Mate X2. The device can be folded horizontally with the main screen inside and has a long narrow external screen.

The camera setup resembles the design of the vivo X70 Pro+, as well as the iQOO 9 range – a large rectangular island, the left side of which is occupied by the cameras, while the right side is only there for aesthetic purposes.

We also see a button on the right side of the phone in this image (which would be the left side when unfolding the device in the user’s hands). We assume this will be for the vivo smart assistant Jovi, which is generally not available outside of China. It remains to be seen whether this phone will also escape the domestic market.
